Age Verification for Purchasing from E-Cig Clouds CBD
At E-Cig Clouds CBD, we can only sell and ship our products to customers aged 18 or older, as required by UK law. So, when you place your first order, we need to verify your age. The process is quick and easy, it does not affect your credit score and we won’t ask for or store any extra personal information that we don’t need to. Why do we need to verify your age?
Since October 1, 2015, it’s been illegal for adults to purchase e-cigarettes or tobacco products for anyone under 18. Similar rules apply to CBD products. We understand it can be frustrating to share personal details, but these checks are in place to protect those under 18 and we have to do them by law.
How do we verify your age?
We use a reliable third-party service called 1Account for our age checks. They’re used by a lot of similar companies because they’re pretty quick and easy. 1Account runs independent, secure checks using sources like your credit record, mobile phone number, the UK electoral roll, or birth register. Other than your mobile number, all of that information is publicly available. The checks do NOT affect your credit score. Most customers are verified instantly, meaning your order will ship as usual.
What do you need to do?
Once you’ve placed an order, you’ll see a pop-up on the confirmation page. Just follow the steps shown in the pop-up to verify your age.
What information is required?
We’ll need your full name, current address and mobile phone number when placing your first order. Make sure the billing address matches your current home address. In some cases, we might also request your date of birth to help with the verification process.
What if we can’t verify your age?
If 1Account can’t verify your age automatically, please contact us for assistance. Let us know your name, order number and product info and we’ll aim to get things sorted out as soon as possible.
Will this affect your credit score?
No, the age verification checks do not affect your credit score. You might get a notification from credit services like Experian or Equifax letting you know a check was done. Don’t worry! This is a “soft check,” meaning it won’t affect your credit score in any way. Companies like banks do not see soft searches on your file, they have no impact on your credit score or any credit applications you make. Only you can see them.
